Pedometer

My school got a bunch of these pedometers. I figured I'd get one and see how much activity I get in a given school day. I got this around 1245 this afternoon and by 8 tonight I'd taken 5,240 steps! Apparently the goal is 10,000 for every 24 hour period. We will see how this goes! I have to keep track from now to March.

I sure am grateful for my mother-in-law tonight! She prepared dinner for us and brought it over. It was really helpful since I'm trying to get caught up at work this week after being gone. I had some errands to run after school so it was nice to know I was coming home to this. Thanks, mom!

I discovered Starbucks passbook for my iphone today. You download the app, load your virtual Starbucks card and then you can pay for coffee with your phone! It's sort of a gimmick but I think it's pretty cool.

Tradition

Every year we go to Brian's parents and everyone helps decorate the downstairs tree. Actually the kids mostly do the work. Every year someone gets a turn to put on the topper. This year it was Gideon's turn - the youngest grandchild. It will be another 7 years before he gets a chance to do it again! :)
