This "yellow note" came back to school ripped. I guess someone thought maybe they could rip it up and hide it from mom. No such luck. LOL.

We are heading up north to Iowa/Wisconsin this weekend for a wedding. Tonight I got the gifts wrapped!

Anticipating The Next

Somehow or other I am finding a bit of time for reading. I am excited to finish Prisoner of Heaven by Carlos Ruiz Zafon so I can begin Oryx and the Crake by Margaret Atwood. Atwood is definitely the favorite author I have discovered this year. Captivating!

Curtain Call

These curtains have been the source of much stress since July. Just finding the right curtains (color, size, quantity) was a mess. Once I found the ones I liked I had to pick out hardware which posed another challenge. Then there were ordering and shipping issues. Anyway the stars finally aligned (almost) today and we got my gray curtains up! The only remaining problem is that we need one more panel for our largest picture window. At least they are up though. They really make the apartment more homey. Thanks to my amazing hubby for putting them up today EVEN THOUGH IT WAS OPENING DAY FOR FOOTBALL. :0)
